ICT as Medium for Advocacy

1. How Information and Communication and Technology (ICT) transformed the education methodologies when you were in gradeschool and now in senior high school? 

Ans. Back when i was just in gradeschool, I got a very hard time being involved with technologies due to lack of budget and I was still young to hold a cellphone. Whenever we had an assignment that needed to be answered, I either search the problem page by page in a book or i go to the nearest computer shop to have the chance to search for my assignment. Not just it can give me the information I needed but can also enables to hang with my friends online. Now, In my senior highschool year, I already owned a smartphone that gives a lot of benefits to me as it contains nearly all the information I needed for my schoolworks. Just a little tap on my screen and Im ready to go.

2.Consider the following comparison;

A. The singing of the national anthem (Form a line, sing the national anthem with conductor)

 When we are still in grade school, we properly aline ourselves according to the given orders. It may be according to our heights, or simply by our last names. Also, we properly follow the conductor according to the beat of the song.

   Now in our senior year, It made a huge difference. We started being improper in falling in line, and we somehow did not always focus on singing and sometimes use our own individual phones during the ceremony.

B. Concept Notes

   In grade school, as far as i could remember, I take down notes that the teacher write on the board and needed to be checked whenever the class is over but now in highschool, Checking of notes is necessary and i only write important details that needs to be remembered.

C. Presentatipon of visual aids

  Back when I was just in grade school, we present visual aids through the use of manila paper as there are only few gadgets we own on that days. But now in highschool, we present reports through the use of Powerpoint (PPT) as it is easier to do and execute during reporting.

D. Class record

  In gradeschool, I received a little bit low grades due to my performance and capability to gain knowledge. I did try my best but the result isn't what I am expecting for. While in highschool, I tend to reach the highest grades I desire and I kinda did it, my grades somehow improved compared to my gradeschool due to the help of advanced technologies like smartphones.

E. Class dismissal

  Our dismissal from gradeshool to highschool didn't change. It both ends 11:45 in the morning and 5:00 in the afternoon.

F. Assignment and research

  Back in gradeschool, It felt hard for me to answer the given asssignments and researches due to lack of internet and technology that surely can help me search for the answer faster. But now, I can manage and easy to get the answers i needed for the problems in our research and assignments.
